Self Portraits | Phoenix AZ Portrait Photographer

Music is, and has always been, a big part of my life. I studied music performance in college and the saxophone is my instrument of choice. As a photographer, one of my favorite things to do for my clients is to capture their personalities and incorporate important aspects of their lives. So, when I decided to do some self portraits, I had to include my instruments, which were given to me by my father, Dennis Fisher. They have travelled with me from here all the way across oceans, and from one state to the next. They are something I cherish and find joy in.

I love photographing contemporary head shots for musicians, especially when I see the final result on a poster for a future performance. It’s a little different to be working with photographs of yourself, but I get the same joy out of capturing a specific moment in my life, and having a portrait I am proud to have represent me. Plus, my instruments are gorgeous, so they definitely deserve to be photographed! I’ve always thought that the saxophone itself is a piece of art, with its beautiful engravings, intricate key work, and curving lines. Take a look at some of my instruments, and some self portraits from Meg&Me Photography.
